Internet Safety Day, 2023
Year 7 created their very own reverse poem based on Internet safety. A lot of thinking, planning and editing to create a poem which looks at two points of view.
We began by studying the poem, Refugees by Brian Bilston. On first read the pupils felt a range of emotions including anger and disappointment on the Brian’s view of refugees. Once it was read in reverse their opinion of the poet changed, they were glad of his inclusive words and remarked on his intelligence to create such a poem.
